The brief

A young professional couple without children, setting up their first marital home. They had always wanted a rustic farmhouse theme after a particularly happy trip to New Zealand the year before.

The challenge

The theme leans on a lot of dark laminates, yet the finished home could not be allowed to feel dark.

Scope of works

Full-house custom carpentry, painting, flooring and electrical works.

What we decided, and why

    Visible lighting tracks

    Exposed track lighting accentuates the industrial, rustic theme while keeping the dark surfaces well lit.

  2. 02

    The sink sits at the window

    So the damp sink and washed dishes dry naturally in the light and air.
