Resale condo
Tangerine
An 800 sqft two-bedroom fit-out where each room is its own concept: one wallpapered wall-to-ceiling in Van Gogh's Almond Blossom with a matching built-in wardrobe, the other wrapped in damask and channel-tufted upholstery.

The brief
A two-bedroom carpentry and finishing fit-out where each room was treated as a complete concept rather than a matching scheme: one built around a specific artwork, the other around a darker, more tailored mood.
The challenge
Reproducing a famous artwork across a whole room is unforgiving: if the panel matching, scale or colour is off, it looks like a hotel corridor. The mural also had to run off the walls, onto the ceiling and into an open backlit wardrobe niche, so panel joins and lighting were planned before installation. The second bedroom carried its own risk: a heavily patterned damask paper with an upholstered, channel-tufted cove running from headboard to ceiling, a made-to-order detail that shows every unevenness in padding and stitching. Loose furniture and audio equipment also had to be delivered and set up alongside the carpentry.
Scope of works
Bedroom one: full wall-and-ceiling wallpapering in Van Gogh's Almond Blossom, continued into a built-in open wardrobe with integrated shelf lighting, and a blush-pink lacquered console built to house the audio equipment. Bedroom two: damask feature wallpaper, a fully upholstered channel-tufted cove from headboard to ceiling, integrated reading lights and a built-in bedside console with a digital display.
Design decisions
What we decided, and why
- 01
One continuous surface, not a feature wall
The Almond Blossom print runs across the walls, the ceiling and the inside of the wardrobe, which is what makes the room feel immersive rather than like a wallpapered corner.
- 02
The second bedroom as a deliberate contrast
Black channel-tufted upholstery from headboard to ceiling against silver-on-cream damask: a darker, hotel-suite mood set against the airy pastel of the first room.
